Create and manage an email template

Create an email with Sendora's drag-and-drop editor or import your HTML, then add unsubscribe and web version links.

6 min read

A template is the reusable layout of your emails. Start with a Sendora template, create your own design in the drag-and-drop editor, or import existing HTML.

Build one main template containing your logo, colors, and footer. It saves time and keeps campaigns visually consistent.

Start with a Sendora template

Sendora templates provide a ready-to-customize foundation. Choose the closest match and edit its text, images, colors, buttons, and spacing. Every provided template already includes an unsubscribe link.

From Templates, you can create, preview on mobile, tablet, or desktop, edit, duplicate, rename, or delete a template.

Use the drag-and-drop editor

The visual editor is designed to be easy to use without coding. Add a structure, drag in text, image, button, divider, or social blocks, then select an element to adjust its content and appearance.

  • keep the width and hierarchy simple;
  • use one clearly visible primary button;
  • avoid small text and weak contrast;
  • review desktop and mobile views regularly;
  • give the template a recognizable name.

Import your own HTML

If an email was developed elsewhere, choose the HTML editor and paste the code. Sendora also converts several common unsubscribe placeholders into its expected tag.

Email HTML is more limited than website HTML. Use mailbox-compatible styling, avoid JavaScript, and test the result in several inboxes.

Add the unsubscribe link

Marketing campaigns require an unsubscribe link. If you remove the one included in a Sendora template, restore it in either of these ways:

  • under Merge tags, choose Unsubscribe link to insert [unsubscribe] directly;
  • for a cleaner result, select text or a button, open its link settings, then choose Personalization and Unsubscribe.

Add the web version

The web version lets recipients open an email in their browser when their mailbox displays it poorly. It is optional but useful for visual or complex emails.

  • under Merge tags, choose Web version link to insert [webversion];
  • or select the text, open its link settings, then choose Personalization and Web version.

Before sending

When sending a campaign, Sendora checks for an unsubscribe link. If it is missing, the system adds one automatically so recipients can opt out. Adding it yourself in the footer is still preferable because you control its position and appearance.

Sendora branding is also added to emails sent from Free accounts. Pro plans can send without this branding.

Review the remaining checks in Create, test, and send an email campaign.

Template checklist

  • preview mobile and desktop versions;
  • check every link and image;
  • confirm that unsubscribe is present;
  • test the web version when included;
  • send a real test from the campaign before final delivery.
